The part you never see.

Most general contractors hand the dirt to somebody else and hope it was done right. We own that step, which is why we can stand behind everything stacked on top of it.

You call. We dig.

Dig, compaction, backfill, and utilities all run through our own crew. Wastewater, water, electric, data lines, culverts, grading, and the landscape put back the way it was.

Proper ground preparation and compaction is what makes a house stable for the long run. Handling it ourselves means no third-party excavation subcontractor between the design and the dirt, and no gap where the responsibility gets fuzzy.

We also do raw land development, so a bare parcel is a place we can start.

What we build.

Rudkin is a one stop shop for residential additions, barns and outbuildings, and ground up commercial work. In-house design means the drawings and the build answer to the same people.

Homes designed and built by the same company, to the highest standard we know how to hold. We work through it with you at every step so the house matches what you actually asked for, inside the budget you set.

We design in house, and we work with architects and draftsmen across Northern Colorado when a project calls for it.

Additions and large scale renovations that read as part of the original house. The new work blends with the existing structure to create flow and style better than before, rather than announcing itself from the driveway.

Sam and Ashleigh Rudkin.

Owners

Sam was born and raised in Fort Collins. He joined the company at fifteen to work alongside his father, the original owner, and graduated from Colorado State University in 2014 with a degree in Construction Management.

Ashleigh landed in Colorado in 2006 and met Sam at CSU. She runs the Rudkin office and is a Northern Colorado realtor, which she added in 2021 so clients could get help finding property to renovate or land to build on.

Sam and Ashleigh purchased the business in 2023 as second generation owners. They live in a custom home they designed and built from the ground up in the Fort Collins countryside, alongside 13 chickens, 7 yaks, 4 goats, 2 cats, and a farm dog named Ruger.

Serving Fort Collins, Windsor, Loveland, Greeley, Severance, Timnath, and the surrounding towns.
